MMBA54

Handcrafted IUSO MMBA54 pickup compatible with MusicMaster and Bronco style basses. Unlike traditional pickups derived from guitar models, the MMBA54 is designed with 4 Alnico 5 pole pieces instead of 6, one per string, to ensure better magnetic field focus and a more even response across the strings.

The coil is fully hand-assembled using vulcanized fiber flatwork, 42 AWG Poly-Nylon wire, and Alnico 5 pole pieces. Each pickup is also wax-potted to reduce unwanted microphonic feedback.

The IUSO MMBA54 pickup delivers an open, dynamic, and well-balanced tone. Its frequency response features good high-end extension without becoming harsh, while maintaining a defined midrange and controlled low end. The result is a clear and articulate sound that preserves the direct and immediate character typical of MusicMaster and Bronco bass instruments.

Its touch sensitivity and strong note separation make it especially suitable for players seeking greater definition compared to stock pickups, without losing the simplicity and musicality that made these instruments popular.

Available with black, white, cream, chrome open-type covers, or without a cover with black cloth-covered wire.
